Moderator: Peter Schniering | Founder, CEO | FCA
Peter Schniering is the Founder and CEO of Future Cleantech Architects. He has been working on accelerating cleantech innovation ever since completing a PhD on "Climate Policy and Technology" at Bonn University and has served as consultant to both the UNFCCC Secretariat in Bonn and the International Energy Agency in Paris, working on topics from hydrogen infrastructure to carbon capture and storage (CCS). Peter is part of an industrial SME's management team and serves as Advisory Board Member to the World Economic Forum's Sustainable Energy Innovation Panel. He regularly publishes articles on energy innovation topics and has been supporting the expert panel of the Solar Impulse Foundation since 2018. At the World Economic Forum, he also served as Evaluation Board member to the Sustainable Energy Innovation Fund (SEIF).

Specialising in connecting the dots between business, policy, civil society and the economy, Maithreyi Seetharaman can often be found on a plane, train or summit stage speaking to the world’s most influential decision makers. From COP26, Brussels Economic Forum to NATO and the Munich Security Conference. From the Cannes Lions to WEF and OECD, she has interviewed figures including Olaf Scholz, John Kerry, Bill Gates, Kristalina Georgieva, Philip Hammond and Margarethe Vestager as well as the heads of governments of France, Greece, Lithuania amongst many more. Over her career covering the international economy she has become a trusted conversation partner for C-suite leaders of global companies. Combining her perspectives from the developing and developed world she has focussed on technology as a key driver for innovation and climate change redressal, making it central to her role as a convener of international leadership communities.

Vanessa Voelkel | Deputy Head | UNIDO ITPO Germany
Vanessa Voelkel has more than 13 years of work experience in Germany as well as in developing countries / economies in transition, specifically in private sector development, sustainable economic growth (SME development, innovation policy, technology transfer, investment promotion), vocational education and training (VET) and media development. As Economic Policy Advisor, Senior Advisor for VET at GIZ and Project Manager in Policy & Concepts at Deutsche Welle Akademie, Vanessa has advised ministries, governmental and non-governmental organizations, companies, employer organizations and associations. She has thorough knowledge in development economics and international cooperation for sustainable development from a Masters in Economics from LMU Munich and Postgraduate Studies at the Center for Rural Development (SLE) / Humboldt University of Berlin.

Daniele Violetti | Senior Director Programmes Coordination, Director a.i. for Means of Implementation Division | UNFCCC
Daniele Violetti is the Senior Director of the Programmes Coordination and Director a.i. of the Means of Implementation (MoI) Division. As Senior Director he provides strategic direction and oversight in relation to the work of the Programmes Department, comprised of the four Programmes divisions.Prior to his current position, he served as Chief of Staff of the secretariat for seven years, supporting two Executive Secretaries. He was also Coordinator for the United Nations Secretary-General's High-level Advisory Group on Climate Change Financing (AGF) at the United Nation Headquarters in New York. He has extensive experience on issues related to the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) under the Kyoto Protocol and he served as Secretary to the CDM Executive Board (EB).

Fabian Sacharowitz | Investment Director | EIT InnoEnergy
Fabian Sacharowitz, a graduate physicist and fully qualified lawyer, initially founded the 3S Antriebe GmbH together with his brothers and developed it for seven years into a globally active manufacturer of unique, fully decentralised actuators for valves in (waste) water, gas and district heating pipes. Subsequently, Fabian worked for five years at KPMG in the field of energy consulting and auditing. After a one-year secondment at the World Economic Forum as part of the "Accelerating Sustainable Energy Innovation" project, Fabian joined InnoEnergy as Business Creation Officer and took over the management of the early-stage investment division for the DACH region. InnoEnergy is a European innovation engine and one of the world's largest early-stage investors in the field of sustainable energy innovations with over 200 investments.
