Relevant Information

The Future Cleantech Festival 2024 aims to bring together private industries, policymakers, innovators, and research institutes to discuss and collaborate on the innovation processes in some of the hardest-to-abate industry sectors, such as construction, transport, and the future energy system.

Participation in the Future Cleantech Festival is upon invitation only. If you are interested in participating, please send an email to events@fcarchitects.org.

This year, we will use a digital event platform called talque to make your experience at Future Cleantech Festival 2024 a success. The platform will allow you to connect with other attendees, register for sessions, and create your own personalized agenda. It also includes a map to all Festival locations and will provide you with important logistical updates. Find some more information on how to get started and use the platform here

Please do not hesitate to contact Marie Goss at marie.goss@fcarchitects.org if you need assistance registering and using the platform.

The Festival is best reached via train to Remscheid Central Station. Trains going to Remscheid from surrounding major cities are usually regional and tickets can be bought on-site upon arrival.  Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf Airports are located ca. an hour from Remscheid. Should you be traveling by plane and need assistance traveling between the Festival and the airport, please reach out to events@fcarchitects.org.

There are a number of hotels within a short distance of the Festival locations. More information can be found in your invitation/registration emails.

All the festival locations are within a few minutes walking distance of one another. Please note that the quickest route between the City Library/Teo Otto Theater and the City Hall/Sparkasse is indeed through the shopping mall Allee Center.

Remscheid is in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and is one of the last industrial cities in the region. It is known for tool development and manufacture, mechanical engineering, and steel production – already in 1831 the first steam engine was in use, and in 1856 Remscheid had its first cast steel factory. You can find more information about the city and its surroundings here: https://www.nrw-tourism.com/the-bergisch-three#cultureshoppingevents or in German here: https://www.remscheid-tourismus.de/.
