Green Hydrogen Industrial Clusters
How will we address the lack of policy incentives to increase local production and use of GH2 in industry? What financial mechanisms need to be in place to mobilize investments towards high capital GH2 infrastructure? How can we target limited technical expertise along the GH2 value chain for effective management of production, storage, transport, and usage of H2 technologies?

Eunji Park is currently working at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna, Austria as a project associate for partnership coordination. She is involved in projects under the Global Programme for Green Hydrogen in Industry, which aims to accelerate the uptake of green hydrogen for developing countries and transitioning economies. She has graduated with a MSc in Environment and Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a B.A. in International Relations and International Development Cooperation Studies at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea.
Rebecca Maserumule | Chief Director – Hydrogen and Energy Department of Science and Innovation, South Africa
Rebecca Maserumule is currently the Acting Deputy Director General: Technology Innovation at the National Department of Science and Innovation. The Technology Innovation Programme is responsible for promoting technology development and valorization of intellectual property emerging from the National System of Innovation. The Technology Innovation Programme is also responsible for promoting awareness and best practice in intellectual property for innovation with socio-economic impact. Rebecca Maserumule is also Chief Director: Hydrogen and Energy at the National Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) in South Africa. Her responsibilities include the implementation of the National Energy Science Technology and Innovation Plan that includes DSI energy flagship programmes of Hydrogen South Africa, Energy Storage RDI Programme, Renewable Energy Hubs and Spokes and the Coal CO2 to X RDI Programme.
Waleid Gamal Eldien | Vice Chair for Investment and Promotion | Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE)
Gamal Eldien brings over 25-years of significant experience within the spectrum of Investment Management and financial markets in addition to working within the Egyptian government. In May 2022, Gamal Eldien was appointed as Vice Chairman of Suez Canal Economic Zone after serving from Jan 2020 as the CEO. Gamal Eldien served on the BOD of several companies within the MENA & EU regions. He holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering & Quantitative Analysis from ICMA Centre – Henley Business School, University of Reading – United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Commerce – Faculty of Commerce at Ain Shames University.
Jurica Miketa | Head of Legal Affairs and EU Political Affairs | Deutscher Wasserstoff – und Brennstoffzellen-Verband e.V. (DWV)
In his function as Head of Legal Affairs and EU Government Relations, Mr. Miketa is mainly responsible for EU policy and EU regulation of hydrogen. Mr. Miketa analyzes and evaluates national and European legislative processes on hydrogen and represents the energy policy positions of the association towards politics and industry. Prior to his position at DWV, he worked for EU institutions in Brussels and the United Nations in New York as well as DAX companies in Frankfurt and Munich in the areas of finance, energy and transport policy. He studied law and holds an Executive Master of European & International Business Law from the University of St. Gallen (HSG-CH).
Klaus Schimmer | Chief Innovation Architect Sustainability | SAP
Klaus Schimmer is Chief Innovation Architect at SAP. He started his career in large advertising agencies as Creative Director. At SAP, he held various roles in the areas of Security, Partner Management, Government Relations, Machine Learning, Future of Work, and Startup Programmes. In his current role, he develops innovations in the field of sustainability with a focus on Sustainable Finance and Green Hydrogen.
